Dense, Big Boned     The New Grey Standard   Zipper Style Crimp

Orlando Cloud is a superb example of the quality of Debbie and Barry Bartmasser’s excellent breeding program in Washington state.  In February of 2009 we were given the opportunity to purchase Orlando Cloud, along with 18 other members of their herd.  The group includes the now famous Cloud line, and we are expecting new offspring this season.  To make this purchase happen, we listed many of the Emerald Farm alpacas for sale.  Response was amazing and more than half have sold.  There are a few still remaining at reasonable prices, and you may check Alpine Alpacas’ www.alpinealpaca.com  or Cherry Run Farm’s www.cherryrunfarm.com  websites or Alpaca Nation listings for details and more information.

Alpine Alpacas hosted Orlando Cloud for breedings in 2007, never dreaming we would now own him!  We have just started showing his offspring, and two have already won Blue Ribbons at MAPACA and AOBA Nationals in Cleveland.  Orlando brings a new level of quality to grey breeding programs.  His fleece rivals many top whites and fawns, and it is consistent in architecture from topknot, to leg, to tail.  His zipper style, bundling fleece sets him above other greys, and his density simply exceptional.

At this writing, his offspring have only been shown for a year and a half.  In that short time they have won 56 Blue Ribbons and 31 Color Championships, still counting.   Orlando is permanently living in Maryland and Pennsylvania, and his bloodlines are becoming well known on the east coast.
